FIELD: floor cleaning equipment.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rotary brush, which is adapted for rotation about horizontal axis upon actuation of apparatus. Brush has bristle members, which pass during circular motion thereof through opening in supporting plate of casing, where rotating brush is mounted, when brush is driven for rotation. Brush has at least one bristle member, which is called end bristle member and is located in immediate vicinity to each end of brush. Deflecting member at each end of opening is adapted for cooperation with said end bristle member at respective end of brush. Deflecting member is adapted for axial deflecting of end bristle members to site beyond opening, when end bristle members pass through opening during rotation of brush. Apparatus of such construction provides for enhanced floor sweeping action to at least outer edge of casing, preferably, beyond outer edge of casing.

EFFECT: increased sweeping effect, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation.
