FIELD: medicine, photodynamic therapy, otolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested method deals with squeezing patient's tongue with a spatula, carrying out sensitization due to rinsing lacunae of palatine tonsils to be pure with solution of photosensitizer absorbing optic radiation in spectral range within 625-700 nm and within 840-1270 nm, rinsing patient's throat with physiological solution followed by carrying out alternate irradiation of every palatine tonsil with optic radiation of light-diode matrix apparatus for phototherapy in spectral range of photosensitizer at exposure being about 2-5 min, daily, for 10-15 d. As photosensitizer one could apply 0.01-0.1%-aqueous solution of methylene blue or chlorophyllipte. One should rinse throat with 100 ml 0.9%-physiological solution. Irradiation is carried out at the distance of 0.5-1 cm against the surface of tonsils. The method enables to increase efficiency of photodynamic therapy due to optimization of sensitization and irradiation processes in pathological section, antibacterial impact, decreased number of relapses and, also, decreased cost of therapy.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
