SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and laboratory diagnostics, and aims at diagnosing a form of chronic tonsillitis (CT). Method for diagnosing a form of chronic tonsillitis, involving microscopic examination of contents of lacunae of palatine tonsils (PT) and whole blood of a patient, characterized by that "monolayer" type smears are prepared from whole blood and from contents of lacunae of tonsils, wherein the smear of the PT lacunae content is made uniform in thickness in one layer of cell elements with a cell density in it within range of 200–8,000 per mm², the smears are dried for 10–20 s; obtained smears are stained according to Romanowsky-Giemsa, microscopic counting of native and netosis-transformed neutrophils, and if observing in smears content of lacunae of tonsils of 6–15 native neutrophils or 6–15 netosis-transformed neutrophils in each of 10 fields of view, as well as if the ratio of netosis-transformed neutrophils to the total number of neutrophils in blood smears is from 5.7 to 11.7%, simple form of chronic tonsillitis is diagnosed; if observing 16 or more native neutrophils or 16 or more netosis-transformed neutrophils in smears of tonsil lacunae content in each of 10 visual fields, as well as if the ratio of netosis-transformed neutrophils to the total number of neutrophils in blood smears is 11.8% or more, toxic-allergic form of chronic tonsillitis is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables higher diagnostic accuracy by determining clear reference boundaries of two-sided evaluation of native and netosis-transformed neutrophils in lacunae PT and whole blood.
