FIELD: concentration of minerals comprising minerals luminescent upon radiation.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exciting luminescence by pulsed roentgen radiation of duration sufficient for flaming up of prolonged luminescence component; measuring total intensity of short and prolonged luminescence components at the moment of action of roentgen radiation pulse; measuring intensity of prolonged delayed luminescence component after termination of roentgen radiation pulse; determining separation criterion by ratio of total short and prolonged luminescence component intensity level and prolonged luminescence component intensity level; separating useful mineral.
EFFECT: increased selectivity of separation process owing to the use of differences in kinetics of roentgen luminescence of minerals under separation process.
