FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of water effluents formed process of oxidation of olefins into alcohols and/or ketones and containing, in particular, peroxide compounds. Effluents, prior to be subjected to anaerobic bacterial degradation, are preliminarily treated in stage wherein they are feed of peroxide compounds in order to lower concentration of peroxide compounds and to avoid detrimental action of indicated compounds on enzymes and bacteria. Peroxide compounds are oxidized at 50 to 90оС in presence of catalyst, after which peroxide-free effluents are treated by anaerobic biological treatment method to convert them into methane and carbon dioxide.
EFFECT: increased degree of water effluent cleaning.
