FIELD: precious metal technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovering fine gold from gold-containing ores under gravitational concentration conditions. Starting material for recovery of gold is material of gold-containing placer, including processing products with complex mineral composition and containing fine gold. Starting material is mixed with water at solids-to-liquids ratio 1:0.25 and simultaneous addition of reagent ensuring pulp-reagent contact time 30-40 min. Mixture is then conveyed onto any gravitational apparatus to recover gold. Reagent utilized is iodine/potassium iodide combination taken in amounts 24 to 50 g per 1 t solids at medium pH 4-8.
EFFECT: increased gold recovery.
