FIELD: measurement technology; methods of measurement of sizes of dispersed particles in chemical technology; environment control.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes forming the collimated white light beam modulated in intensity at various spatial frequencies at different points of section. This bean is used for radiation of aerosol. Then, image is formed from beam of scattered spatially modulated beam of optical radiation which has passed through finely dispersed object. Dispersity of aerosol particles is determined visually by position of boundary of appearance of iridescent pattern or by scale near white strips or by graduation curve.
EFFECT: possibility of visual determination of dispersity of aerosol particles.
