FIELD: medicine, virology, vaccines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vaccine comprising mutant herpes virus. Invention involves mutant herpes virus comprising genome wherein viral gene encoding protein that is essential for producing infectious virus is to be deleted or inactivated and therefore virus is able to infect normal cells, to replicate and to express viral genes in these cells but it can't produce normal infectious particles, except for cases when virus infects the complementary cell that has heterologous nucleotide sequence that provides expressing the essential protein by the complementary cell and this protein is encoded by deleted or inactivated viral gene. The advantage of invention involves the development of vaccine used for prophylactic or therapeutic using in producing the immune response with using live but attenuated virus.
EFFECT: valuable properties of vaccine.
