FIELD: mechanical engineering; abrasive industry; separation of abrasive grains by shape.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes working member in form of endless inclined cloth with electrodes, feeder and separation product receivers mounted under its working run. Flat electrodes have different width: upper electrode is narrow and lower electrode is wide; they are located in one plane at distance of 0.2-0.3 of width of working run of endless inclined cloth. Ratio of width of upper electrode to width of working run of endless inclined cloth is equal to 1:10 and that of lower electrode is equal to 7:10.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation due to orientation of abrasive grains on surface of cloth in way of its inclination.
