FIELD: polymer production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyurethane foams based on polyester-polyols, which can be used in fabrication of heat-insulation and structural materials and articles in construction, refrigeration, aircraft, motor car, furniture and other industries. In method of invention, polyester-polyols are obtained through interaction of wastes containing di- and polycarboxylic acids, their esters or anhydrides with polyglycoles in the form of still residues from rectification of ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol formed in ethylene oxide hydration process. Invention also describes production of rigid foamed plastics via reaction of indicated polyester-polyols with polyisocyanates in presence of auxiliary additives. Products are characterized by density 29-50 kg/m3, water absorption 75-110 cm3/m2, coefficient of heat conductivity 0.023-0.025 W/m*K, and bend strength 470-500 kPa.
