FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polyester polyols based on aromatic dicarboxylic acids, as well as use thereof to obtain rigid foamed polyurethane foams. Described is a polyester polyol, containing a product of esterification of a) from 10 to 70 mol% of a composition of dicarboxylic acids containing: a1) less than a value from 50 to 100 mol% in terms of composition of dicarboxylic acids a), aromatic dicarboxylic acid or a mixture of aromatic dicarboxylic acids, a2) less than a value from 0 to 50 mol% in terms of composition of dicarboxylic acids a), one or more aliphatic dicarboxylic acids; b) from 2 to 30 mol% of one or more fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives; c) from 10 to 70 mol% of one or more aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diols with number of carbon atoms from 2 to 18 or alkoxylates of said diols; d) from 2 to 50 mol% polyether alcohol with functionality higher than or equal to 2, obtained from alklxylation of polyol e) with functionality higher than or equal to 2; wherein mol% of components a) to d) is given in amount of 100 % and per 1 kg of polyester polyol rect with at least 500 mmol, preferably, at least 800 mmol polyols d), characterised by that polyether alcohol d) with functionality higher than or equal to 2 is obtained by reacting polyol e) with functionality higher than or equal to 2 with ethylene oxide. Also described is a method of producing rigid polyurethane foams by reacting: A) organic and/or modified organic di- and/or polyisocyanates with B) said polyester polyols, F) one or more foaming agents and G) catalysts. What is described is use of said polyester polyols for obtaining rigid polyurethane foams or rigid polyisocyanurate foams.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining polyester polyols with low viscosity and good miscibility.
