FIELD: ferroalloys production.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns production of ferroalloys involving carbothermic process, wherein reducing mixture contains (in terms of pure carbon) 25-30% of low-caking coal, 7-9% of woof chips, and balancing amount of coke nut. Low-caking coal utilized contains 45-70% fusainite. Such reducing mixture is characterized by elevated reactivity, porosity, and gas impermeability so allowing 6.3-12.8% increase in furnace productivity, 6.7-6.9% reduction in specific power consumption, and 2.1-7.3% increase in recovery of silicon.
EFFECT: improved working characteristics.
