TAPER TUBE THREADED CONNECTION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention to casing and tubing connections. Proposed taper tube threaded connection has male member with outer taper threads arranged successively on end and having equal axial pitch, and female member with corresponding inner threads. Tube threaded joint is of combination type. Taper threads located from side of end faces of male and female members are of triangular and trapezoidal profile. Trapezoidal thread of female member has minimum inner diameter which is smaller than maximum outer diameter of triangular thread of male member and profile at which tips of one of indicated threads are inscribed into tooth spaces of other thread over entire length of their relative screw displacement when assembling the joint . Crests of trapezoidal and triangular threads of male member are located on surface of one generating cone. Surface of profile of inner trapezoidal thread pointed to end face of female member corresponds to surface of profile of outer triangular thread pointed to end face of male member.

EFFECT: increased tightness of threaded joint.
