FIELD: oil and gas production industry, particularly devices for sealing well shaft gap between casing pipe and oil well pipe string.
SUBSTANCE: packer comprises hollow body with radial orifices, collar secured to body and shell of easy-fusible material or alloy fused by heat generated by electric heater. Collar has bimetallic leaf plates opened due to exposing leaf plates to temperature less than shell material fusion temperature. Radial orifices are closed by plugs of easy-fusible metal or alloy having fusing temperature exceeding that of shell material. Bimetallic leaf plates may be made on inner collar surface or may be formed inside collar or on outer collar surface.
EFFECT: provision of collar integrity during packer dipping into well, increased reliability, improved sealing capability during radial orifice closing.
