ENGINE STARTING INTERLOCK Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines and it can be used in starting systems of tractors and self-propelled harvesters for interlocking starting of main internal combustion engine. Proposed device contains gearbox lever, starting motor, clutch control mechanism with shaft, pipeline and actuating mechanism made in form of hydraulic cylinder with rod and equipped with lever installed on support. Said lever is connected from one side with brake band enclosing gearbox output shaft, and it engages from other side through rod, piston of actuating mechanism hydraulic cylinder and rod with normally-closed contact one end of which is connected with vehicle frame and the other, through normally-closed contact under driver's seat, is electrically connected with primary winding of starting motor magneto. Footstep is hinge -connected to frame of vehicle in vertical plane and hydraulic cylinder whose rod is hinge- connected with footstep. Working space of hydraulic cylinder is connected through pipeline with working space of actuating mechanism hydraulic cylinder.

EFFECT: improved reliability of engine starting interlock with gear shifted-in, increased safety.
