FIELD: room heating appliances.
SUBSTANCE: convector housing includes face panel with air outlet holes in upper part, at least one air intake hole in lower part of housing, side walls with seat surfaces for seat surfaces of face panel end parts connected with face panel, upper flange of face panel forming, together with side walls, surface of housing rear part for its contact with rooms wall. Face panel is made flexible and curvilinear for pressing its seat surfaces, owing to elastic forces, to seat surfaces of side walls. Seat surfaces of side walls are made curvilinear identical in form to seat surface of face panel. Moreover, lower part of face panel is curved into rear part of housing. Surface of lower part of face panel pointed to room wall is located in plane of upper flange of face panel, and lower part of face panel is provided with lower flange located in plane of upper flange of face panel and rear surfaces of side walls. At least one air intake hole is located between lower flange of face panel and its front wall. Method of making of converter housing includes operations for connecting seat surfaces of housing face panel with seat surfaces of side walls by fitting side walls through their seat surfaces from end face sides of face panel into apertures of side walls, or by fitting end parts of face panel into inner outlines of side walls and connecting side walls with face panel. Face panel of housing is made flexible in place of its cross section. In inoperative position of face panel, its dimensions and forms of seat surfaces of end parts in said plane differ from dimensions between seat surface of side walls. When connecting face panel with side walls, said dimensions of face panel are decreased or increased by applying compressing or expanding forces to end parts of face panel from opposite sides. Then side walls are fitted on face panel from its end face sides through seat surfaces of side walls, or side walls are brought by seat surfaces into end face apertures of face panel, after which compressing or expanding forces are removed from face panel, Moreover, additional flexible face panel, identical to main face panel is connected to flexible face panel and both face panels are upset from outside to inner side by simultaneously applied forces acting in opposite directions or flexible face panels are expanded simultaneously from inner side to outer sides to decrease or increase end face apertures of connected face panels. Then side walls made to suit end face parts of connected face panels are fitted on end parts of connected face panels, or side wall are brought into end face apertures of connected face panels after which said forces are removed from face panels.
EFFECT: improved functional qualities of housing, simplified design, reduced labor input at making.
