FIELD: production of raw tobacco material used for manufacture of tobacco articles in tobacco producing enterprises and specialized tobacco industry plants, such as fermentation plants.
SUBSTANCE: method involves simultaneously providing fermentation and amendment of aroma of tobacco raw material at temperature of 60-800C for 6-12 hours, followed by self-cooling of containers in non-conditioned store; placing dried mellowed mass of tobacco raw material having moisture content of 16-20% in metal pressurizable container so that tobacco material is out of contact with container inner surfaces, onto which 0.01-0.03 mm thick layer of aroma amending substance is applied.
EFFECT: reduced costs of thermal-moisture processing method and improved quality of raw tobacco material.
