FIELD: medicine, obstetrics, gynecology.
SUBSTANCE: one should carry out preliminary vaginal sanitation with antiseptic solution followed by introduction of 3.5%-chitosan-ascorbate gel containing metronidasol at the dosage of 2 mg/ml at the volume of 20 ml once every 2 d. The method provides suppression of anaerobic microflora, normalization of functional vaginal mucosal epithelium, moreover, it causes no pronounced influence upon viability of lactobacill.
EFFECT: more stable curative action.
