FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air conditioning devices designed for vehicles, including railway cars. Proposed car has body with outer and inner skins with cellular skeleton with wooden bars secured to outer skin between inner and outer skins. Heat and noise insulating pads are secured inside cells of skeleton. Air conditioner, air heater and plenum air duct equipped with air distributing devices are fastened to body roof. Novelty is that plenum air duct of elliptic type consists of upper and power parts. Upper part is made to suit body ceiling outline, being secured to wooden bars by woodscrews, thus replacing inner skin. Lower part is furnished with air distributing devices and it consists of sections with stiffening flanges between which seals are fastened. Air conditioner is cut into body roof with maximum tolerable projection defined by tolerable preset vehicle gauge. Number of air distributing devices corresponds to number of living compartments, and delivery of air is provided by rotating vertical adjusting screw.
EFFECT: simplified design, lightened weight of car structure, increased volume of living compartments, improved delivery of fresh air.
