FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for separating flat articles, such as, newspapers, magazines, their parts and appendices. According to invention, lifting-and-shifting unit 5 rests on upper side of pile 2. Said unit is provided with sucker to lift article 4 and shifter to displace article 4 from pile 2 to outgoing conveyor 15. Said lifting-and-shifting unit 5 is located on bearing structure 6, 7 secured on slides 9. Slides 9 are installed for movement in height along longitudinal guide 10. Outgoing conveyor 15 is installed from side of reception of articles also on slides 9. Support 3 for pile is motionless in height. Lifting-and-shifting unit 5 lowers as height of pile 2 decreases.

EFFECT: provision of separation of articles from pile without damage, simplified design and control of device.
