FIELD: papermaking industry.
SUBSTANCE: aqueous silica-based sol includes organic nitrogen-containing compound and silica-based particles with specific surface area at least 300 m2 per 1 g silica. Method of production of paper and pulp from aqueous suspension containing cellulose fibers and optional fillers comprises addition of aqueous silica-based sol to suspension. Along with aqueous sol at least one electrically charged organic polymer is added, after which resulting suspension is drained on screen.
EFFECT: increased drainage, retention, and stability characteristics.
