FIELD: locksmith's work.
SUBSTANCE: the locking device has key (10) provided with the first electronic circuit (14) and a lock (20) provided with the second electronic circuit (24). Secret information is kept in the key and in the lock, part of this information is unique for each device. The key and the lock exchange a random number via contacts (15,25), and with the aid of the respective electronic circuit computation is performed with the use of the random number and secret information. The electric interlocking mechanism (40) is shifted to the non-interlocked position, if the results of computations in both circuits give the expectant result.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
