SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlled action upon friction forces between guiding and supporting surfaces of backup chocks of rolls mounted in ports of struts of rolling stands, includes flat pressure-loaded at back side carrying plates PL. The last are mounted with possibility of motion in direction normal relative to guiding surfaces FF1, FF2 or supporting surfaces AF1, AF2 in ports SF of housing and they have guiding surfaces FF1, FF2. In struts SH1, SH2 cylinder-piston aggregates KZA are mounted; said aggregates are designed for loading at back side carrying plates PL. Quick-wear plates may be placed onto carrying plates PL with possibility of changing them.
