FIELD: heat engineering, possibly manufacture of plates of thin-sheet material for tube-free heat exchangers.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making oval grooves on sheet blank by multiple forming of it; at first transition drawing blank and shaping it by tension in die while holding peripheral portion. In the result groove with surface area (in plan view) exceeding surface area of ready groove by 10 - 15% is formed. Gap between holder and die is in range 2.5 - 3 thickness values of plate. During last transition of forming process in zone of grooves plain-oval openings with width consisting 12 - 20 thickness values of plate are punched. Formed grooves have height equal to 22 - 45 thickness values of plates. Spacing between axes of grooves consists 5 0 - 170 thickness values of plate.
EFFECT: optimal size of grooves with openings, enhanced quality of plates and heat exchangers with such plates.
