FIELD: metal working, finish and semi-finish working of outer surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: broach includes body in which deforming members are mounted. Deforming members have dents and indentations arranged in staggered fashion and cutting teeth arranged between said dent and indentations. In order to increase life due to increased working length of cutting edge and improved cooling condition, broach is provided with compression springs. Cutting teeth are mounted with possibility of motion in wedge cross section grooves formed in body and inclined relative to direction normal to main motion direction. Tangent of groove inclination angle exceeds summed tangents of friction angles of bearing and back surfaces of cutting tooth. Ends of cutting teeth turned to side opposite relative to broach motion are rested upon said compression springs.
EFFECT: increased life of broach.
