BRAKE WHEEL SKID PREVENTION METHOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2237587 C1

FIELD: transport engineering; rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic control of braking and it can be used in automatic anti-skid devices. According to proposed method, acceleration of braked wheel is found and sign and value of wheel acceleration derivative is determined and first, second and third threshold wheel skid values are set related by relationship determined minimum value of wheel skidding, and third threshold value determines its maximum value. Then first, second and third threshold values of negative acceleration of wheel are set related by relationship . First threshold value defines minimum value of wheel negative acceleration, and third threshold value defines its maximum value, and threshold positive acceleration value of wheel is set. Threshold value of wheel acceleration positive derivative is set and skid of wheel and negative and positive acceleration of wheel and positive derivative of wheel acceleration are compared with their threshold values. Control signals by which step by step control of pressure in brake cylinder are generated basing on results of comparing of wheel skid, negative and positive acceleration and position derivative of wheel acceleration with their threshold values, increasing the pressure until skid of wheel reaches second threshold value or negative acceleration of wheel reaches second threshold value . Pressure is maintained at constant level until wheel skid reaches third threshold value or value of negative acceleration of wheel reaches third threshold value . Pressure is decreased until wheel skid value reaches second threshold value and wheel negative acceleration value reaches second threshold value or, it acceleration of wheel becomes positive, until its value reaches threshold value and, if wheel acceleration derivative becomes positive, until its value reaches threshold value and said pressure is maintained at constant level until wheel skid value reaches first threshold value and wheel negative acceleration value reaches first threshold value , then pressure is raised and pressure changing cycle is repeated.

EFFECT: provision of quick action accuracy of skid prevention.
