FIELD: materials storing facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of manufacture of reels and mounting of reel cheek consisting of set of sectors fitted to each other to form disk, and of U-shaped rim. To manufacture reel cheek, rim is closed and sectors are installed, one by one, so that outer end of sector gets into ring slot of rim. Prior to mounting last sector, force is applied to mounted sectors in disk plane to compress sectors and make room with angle exceeding angle of sector to be installed. Then outer end of last sector is fitted in ring slot of rim, after which inner end is fitted in, and immediately after fitting-in of outer end into ring slot, compressive action is stopped.
EFFECT: facilitated mounting of reel cheeks, increased strength of reel.
