SUBSTANCE: invention relates to side wall of cable reel provided with wooden parts at one side arranged in one plane to form a disk, and at other side, with connecting means designed for holding wooden parts in required position. Each wooden part of proposed side wall is made in form of sector, and parts placed near each other form disk. Connecting means contain at one side a belt resting on peripheral part of disk, and at other side, two flanges centered in said disk and holding its central zone.
