FIELD: metallurgy; top gates for charging blast furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: proposed top gate includes fixed inlet funnel, charging tube, chute holder with rotation drive and discharge chute with drive members. Drive members are made in form of non-revolving hoisting frame, hoisting ring located rotatably relative to frame and transfer unit connected with discharge chute for its turn; toothed rim may be thrown into engagement with gear wheels of at least two screws mounted on body over periphery of top gate, thus loading the non-revolving frame.
EFFECT: reduced wear; avoidance of cocking and seizing.
