FIELD: metallurgy, namely mouth closures of shaft furnaces. SUBSTANCE: mouth closure includes charging funnel arranged under sluice bin with sluice pipe and with rotating holder of rocking chute placed under sluice pipe. Chute holder is driven to rotation by means of electric motor through pinion and toothed rim. Chute rotates together with holder. Drive units for rotating holder and for rocking chute respectively are arranged separately one from another outside furnace space. Rotating holder is sealed relative to stationary parts of carrying box secured to carrying ring of furnace and relative to sluice pipe by means of ring-like sealings. EFFECT: simplified design, easy maintenance of mouth closure of shaft furnace. 14 cl, 3 dwg
