FIELD: production of chemical filaments, in particular, optical fiber forming units.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has setter, meter and diameter regulator, comparison unit, speed calculation unit, feeding unit speed detector, summer, electric drive for receiving unit, controlled quantizer, as well as integrating unit, divider unit and unit for calculating of isodromic time. Integrating unit is switched to fiber diameter controlling contour through divider unit connected in series. Free input of divider unit is connected to output of unit for calculating of isodromic time, the latter being connected with its input to output of unit for calculating of fiber receiving speed. Such construction allows additional correction of operating time of integrator unit to be corrected upon alteration of fiber receiving speed, said correction being independent of resetting of diameter regulator enhancement coefficient.
EFFECT: increased quick action and precision in controlling of fiber diameter within wide range of variations of speed modes during formation of fibers, said modes being defined by predetermined value of diameter and speed of receiving of fiber.
