FIELD: improving gripping of ice-bound traffic surfaces.
SUBSTANCE: method includes securing solid particles to the snow-ice-bound surface. The surface is preliminary treated with vapor to produce a water layer and then solid particles are set into the layer. The temperature of the vapor is 100-320°, its pressure is 1470-10300 kPa, and the thickness of the water layer is 3-5 mm.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of roughening.
