CONVEYER FOR PLACEMENT AND FEED OF SHOT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: military equipment, in particular, conveyers for feed of ammunition to the gun, applicable in tanks, armored infantry fighting vehicles and ship-borne artillery mounts.

SUBSTANCE: the known conveyer for placement and feed of shots has a framework with guides fastened on the floor of the fighting vehicle, conveyer drive and a conveyer with seats for vertically installed shots catches for holding the shots from falling-out. The conveyer is made in the form of cross-shaped links, whose longitudinal arms are hinge-joined to one another forming an endless chain. The shots are installed along the axis of the hinges, they are fixed from falling-out by grippers in the form of plates fastened on the cross-arms of the cross-shaped links. Secured on the cross-arms of the cross-shaped links are supports with rollers moving on the guides of the framework.

EFFECT: simplified design of the conveyer, enhanced reliability of its operation, increased set of ammunition of armored infantry fighting vehicle.
