FIELD: technology for ultrasonic non-destructive tests of materials and products.
SUBSTANCE: device has four inductive coils and four magnetic flow concentrators placed along perimeter of transformer according to law 6≤a≤18 mm, 6≤b≤18 mm, 5≤c≤20 mm, while d·l=160 mm2, where a, b, c - distances between centers of concentrators, and d and l - sizes of concentrators in plan. Concentrators are made of ferromagnetic powder.
EFFECT: reliable control of sheet or strip edge during transverse displacements due to effective width of control zone of transformer overlaps these displacements.
