FIELD: printing technologies.
SUBSTANCE: manufacture of template is started with reading by means of electronic camera (for example, CCD) of images from several sheets, quality of printing on which is considered acceptable. Images are recorded into memory for forming first control image with relative allowed densitometric limits. Control image is divided onto plurality of portions by means of applying a mesh with very small cells. During control on checked image distances are measured between mesh nodes. For this elastic modification of template is made in such a way, that distances between assemblies were the same as in checked image. Control of checked image is preformed by comparing to modified template with use of any standard checking technique.
EFFECT: higher precision of control due to consideration of deformation of image carrier.
