FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: milking equipment has milking member with teat cups and milk hose connected to milking member. Balancing device carries milking equipment and portion of milk hose and may be moved to position wherein balancing device is disposed for balancing weight of milking member and weight of said portion of milk hose. Operator can apply teat cups onto animal's teats without necessity for carrying the entire heavy milking member. Balancing device is positioned for displacement to milking position. Milking member acts upon animal's teats with its whole weight, when teat cups are attached to animal's teats.

EFFECT: simplified attachment of teat cups and provision for avoiding injury to operator in the process of lifting of milking member.
