FIELD: mechanical dehydration of peat, bedding peat of low degree of decomposition in particular, mainly high-moor peat.
SUBSTANCE: proposed unit includes matrix with passage, charging unit with passage, body with bypass valve, stamp and drive. Unit is also provided with two electrodes received by longitudinal slots and mounted on edges of upper and lower surfaces of matrix and DC electromagnet located on side of matrix in section of passage. Drive is made in form of power hydraulic cylinder. Electrodes made in form of rectangle are located along side surfaces of matrix opposite each other. Electromagnet consists of iron core with flange at base, two coils fitted on end sections of core and two detachable pole pieces made in form of rectangle with flange at middle of lateral side. One pole piece is located above upper surface of matrix and other pole piece is located under lower surface. Magnetic field is directed perpendicularly relative to electric field. Ends of lower pole piece rest against supports.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; reduced power requirements.
