FIELD: building, particularly for estimating bearing capacity of pile foundations, particularly in building site, by carrying out impact testing of single pile.

SUBSTANCE: method involves initial determining bearing capacity of a pile by applying single impacts at the end of pile driving process; putting on pile grating member having head; adding soil and reseating grating member into ground; performing impact testing of pile with grating member head; determining grating member influence on bearing capacity of pile foundation by estimated difference between bearing capacity of single pile and that of pile with grating member head. Grating member has plate and head installed on pile. Head has round, rectangular, hexagonal or rectangular, T-shaped, H-shaped or triangular cross section and connected with plate by stiffening ribs.

EFFECT: increased reliability and simplicity of estimation method.
