FIELD: construction, particularly pile foundations to be created of composite piles.
SUBSTANCE: pile foundation comprises composite piles driven in ground and grillage arranged about the piles. The piles include a number of sections provided with joint members at section ends. The pile sections are made as pile modules having the same standard dimensions. Number of pile modules and/or parts thereof in each composite pile depends on pile driving depth. Pile driving depth is selected to provide load-bearing capacity of composite pile in ground not exceeding effective load to be applied to composite pile, based on axial composite pile material compression strength. Method for pile foundation erection involves driving composite pile in ground by connecting next section to previous one immersed in ground; driving next pile section in ground for depth selected from ground load-bearing capacity; cutting-away projected upper pile section part; moving said cut pile section in ground in area of next pile driving in ground to use the cut pile section as the first pile section to be driven in ground; forming pile grillage.
EFFECT: increased load-bearing ability and composite pile section connection areas resistance to dynamic load to be applied thereto during pile driving in ground, decreased labor inputs and material consumption for pile foundation construction.
