METHOD FOR FOCUSING WAVE FIELD AND DEVICE FOR REALIZATION OF SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method includes deflecting beams at angles given from focusing condition in at least two adjacent cross-sections of wave field by means of orderly sets of equal number of focusing elements placed in said cross-sections while providing for single-variant possible for its rotation around the axis passing through centers of cross-sections. In each cross-section value and direction of beams deflection angle is orderly changed to provide for proportional meridian component to distance from beam to cross-section center by means of similar focusing elements placed symmetrically relatively to rotation symmetry axis. Operating apertures of focusing elements are limited in each cross-section by lengths of similar curvilinear arcs distributed among cross-sections with constant angle step. Focusing may be performed while providing for constant value of beams deflection angle in each cross-section or constant phase beam delay between marked cross-sections. In space between cross-sections an intermediate focus may be formed, having ring-like shape with center on rotation symmetry axis.

EFFECT: higher quality of focusing and better manufacture technology.
