SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of a curative-prophylactic agent based on vegetable base with broad spectrum of pharmacological effect. The curative-prophylactic agent eliciting hepatoprotective, cholesterol- and glucose-regulating effect involves saltwort (Salsola) dry extract prepared by method of an aqueous-alcoholic extraction and the following concentrating the end product by spraying lyophilization method, common bilberry sprouts extract prepared by an aqueous-alcoholic extraction of raw followed by lyophilization of the end product by spraying method in the ratio of dry extracts = 1.5:1, respectively, and physiologically acceptable vehicle. Agent comprises ascorbic acid additionally and it can be made in the form of tablet, granule, capsule or syrup. The curative-prophylactic eliciting hepatoprotective, cholesterol- and glucose-regulating effect represents tea comprising a mixture of a mixture of milled and dried raw of saltwort herb and common bilberry sprouts taken in the ratio = 1.5:1. Agent is made in the form of packages with weight 2,0-5.0 g. Clinical tests show that agent has no toxic effect and exhibits the sufficient effectiveness in treatment of insulin-dependent patient with diabetes mellitus.
