FIELD: production of drinking water.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of treatment of natural waters for production of drinking water and it may be used at water sewage treatment plants, structures for after-purification of sewage water and at other public utilities. Loading of a contact filter contains as an upper layer a filtrating sorption material - ОДМ-2Ф mark inoculated fragmentized molding boxes with a granular size of 2.3-3.5 mm and density of 1.35 kg/m3, in the capacity of interlayer - fragmentized anthracite with a granular size of 1.5-2.3 mm and density of 16 kg/m+3, and as a low layer - sand with a granular size of 0.7-1.5 mm and density of 2.6 kg/m3. The invention ensures production of standard condition potable water with high efficiency.
