FIELD: technological processes, filters.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of water preparation, namely to devices for water treatment, and may be used for treatment of drinking water from natural admixtures dissolved in it in industrial and household-domestic water supply. Device comprises body with nozzles of treated water supply and clean water discharge, loose multilayer filter with various grain size of layers and with the facility of filter regeneration, and nozzle of flushing waters drain. Nozzle of water supply is connected to body through aerator. In lower part of body there are nozzles of clean water discharge, flushing waters supply and drain to sewage. Upper layer of filter is made of schungite, the second layer - of quartz sand or anthracite, and the third layer is made of crushed stone. A layer of magnesium dioxide is arranged on surface of charge particles. Drainage system is provided in the third layer of grained charge.

EFFECT: reduction of overall opacity of water by removal of bivalent iron compounds, hydrogen sulfide, heavy metals and humates from it.
