FIELD: packing units, particularly cardboard boxes for packing footwear.

SUBSTANCE: box is formed of flat sheet blank divided by fold lines which define box components, namely bottom, side walls and end walls. Flaps with tabs abut to side walls and have segmented orifices created in fold lines thereof. One flap has extension folded to divide box into two parts. End walls include flaps folded inside box and having two additional rectangular corner flaps. Box lid is also made of flat blank and comprises fold lines and base. Connected to lid base are side and end flaps. Side lid flaps have tabs. Each tab has one beveled end. Width of each end lid flap is increased in comparison with lid base.

EFFECT: reduced labor inputs, extended operational capabilities and efficiency, possibility of keeping box content, particularly footwear, in undamaged state.
