SUBSTANCE: invention relates to packaging and concerns the design of a box made of cardboard for placement, storage, and transportation of packages such as bags with snack products. A box formed into a three-dimensional structure from a blank with kink lines applied to it contains side panels connected to the end panels using edges, one of the end panels is made with a valve designed to be connected to an adjacent side panel to form a three-dimensional octagonal box, to flaps for forming the bottom of the box adjoin the side and end panels in the lower part. In the upper part, the flaps for forming the box lid are adjacent, and one of the upper flaps is formed with protrusions along the edges, a fold line in the upper part and a cutout, and technological holes are formed along the edges of the lower flaps of the side panels for fixing the bottom flaps of the end panels, and the top flaps of the end panels have technological holes designed to fix the top flap of the side panel with the help of protrusions, forming a lock.

EFFECT: improving the operational and strength qualities of the box due to the simplification of the process of closing the lid of the box due to the improved design of the locking part, as well as increasing the strength of the box structure under vertical loads.
