FIELD: means of protection of cars against hi-jacking, concerns a lock for the car door having an external handle installed for turning.
SUBSTANCE: the handle is positioned inside the door body on the side of the open recess, the lock-up member with the drive and the device connecting the handle to the drive of the lock-up member are also positioned inside the door body. The lock is provided with a protective housing closing the handle recess, it is fastened on an axle installed in the journals of the brackets rigidly secured inside the door body, the axle is coupled to the controlled drive of rotation of the protective housing, the protective housing is provided with locks of its operating and nonoperating positions, and the handle is installed on the axle of the protective housing.
EFFECT: prevented unauthorized access to the members of the car door lock.
