FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: universal lock comprises a body and a geared wheel and a crossbar with a geared surface installed as capable of engagement by teeth with teeth of the geared wheel. The body of the lock has a through hole, designed to install a bushing, on the surface of which a geared wheel is installed. In the body of the geared wheel there are through slots arranged at different sides from the centre of the geared wheel, but along one axis, and designed for entrance of blocking elements into them, which are fixed on the inner wall of the lock body. At the same time the bushing is divided into two equal parts with a longitudinal slot made from the edge of the bushing to the inner wall of the lock body, so that there is a common slot common for the bushing and the geared wheel, providing for the possibility of access of a locking/unlocking element that penetrates into the lock body at the side of the outer wall of the lock body via the axial hole of the bushing towards blocking elements of the lock.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher extent of protection from unauthorised break into a room and improved anti-vandalism characteristics.
