FIELD: high-frequency relativistic electronics; heavy microwave power generation in pulse-periodic mode.
SUBSTANCE: proposed relativistic klystron has explosive-radiating cathode, mesh anode disposed on input end of buncher, high-voltage tubular anode electrode, input resonator with microwave radiation output device, and collector, all arranged in tandem along axis of linear inductive accelerator whose inductive system is assembled of two sets of ferromagnetic cores disposed on different ends of grounded flange; shaping line has two sets of electrodes. Magnetizing turns of first set of ferromagnetic cores are coupled with electrodes of first set of shaping line and those of second set of ferromagnetic cores are coupled with electrodes of second set of shaping line. Explosive-radiating cathode is disposed on axis of and inside first set of ferromagnetic cores and high-voltage tubular anode electrode, on axis of and inside second set of ferromagnetic cores; buncher is electrically and mechanically coupled with grounded flange.
EFFECT: reduced mass and size of device.
