SPRINKLING MACHINE WATER INTAKE DEVICE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for taking in water from open irrigation channels by watering and sprinkling machines in motion. Proposed water intake device has suction pipe, intake funnel, deflector, water intake gauze, shield and flow shaper in form of ring pipe with fitted-on nozzles. Device is furnished with check valves and trap for sediments washed off from water intake gauze surface. Trap is mounted on brackets under shield and is made in form of hollow ball. Check valves are formed by flat rubberized circle with two counterweights in form of arc segments secured on non-working surface of circle opposite to each other. Segments of counterweight are made of sheet steel. Check valve turning axle is formed by strip. Said strip is secured by studs in diametric plane of funnel on deflector between intake holes in form of arc segments. Deflector is made in form of disk with cylindrical flanging over periphery. Water intake gauze has form of truncated cone whose smaller base is made with shield and larger base, with deflector through ring gasket. Nozzles of flow shaper located under deflector are orientated to zones of water intake gauze.

EFFECT: provision of high capacity of pump at reduced power consumption.
