WATER INTAKE APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, mechanized irrigation equipment used for drawing of water from open irrigation pipeline and supplying of water to movable sprinkler machines.

SUBSTANCE: water intake apparatus has suction pipeline with feeding filter, grid, and collector with hydraulic cleaning nozzles. Collector is hydraulically communicated via pipe with pump pressure part. Collector and pump communicating pipe is equipped with locking device, such as valve. Water intake apparatus has deposition baffle and screen. Deposition baffle is disposed under feeding filter. Screen is mounted under grid by means of pair of brackets. Collector with hydraulic cleaning nozzles is mounted on brackets between screen 4 and grid. Grid may be readily dismantled and mounted in guides of filter casing. Grid is provided with pair of handles. Grid is made in the form of corrugated plate with alternatively arranged ridges and slots. Nozzles of collector are oriented along slots of corrugated plate of grid. Blades of rubberized material and counterweight are arranged opposite one another inside casing of feeding filter on working surface. Grid is equipped with stopper for fixing grid in operating position inside guides. Stopper is made in the form of U-shaped flexible member with paired openings in side walls and rods movably inserted into paired openings. Each rod is provided with curved hook arranged at one end thereof. Stopper rods are passed into grid openings. U-shaped flexible member is disposed in one of slots of corrugated plate. Recesses are formed in side walls of U-shaped flexible member between pairs of openings.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for continuous supplying of irrigation water from open channel into nozzles of sprinkler machine.
